Intrepid Camera launch updated 4×5 and 8×10 cameras

UK company Intrepid Camera have launched updated versions of their lightweight 4×5 and 8×10 cameras.

Intrepid Camera started out with a Kickstarter to manufacture the 4×5 MK1. The company now is up to its four version of the 4×5 camera and the second of its 8×10.

Improvements include a thin aluminium base that makes the camera more stable. The focus plan is also changed and now attaches directly onto the base and runs on linear metal tracks to help with sharp focusing. The focus control now comes as a single self-locking wheel below the ground glass – the same design used by Chamonix Cameras.

The bellows are now thicker and more durable light-tight vinyl.
