Exhibition: Through the looking glass – Danielle Edwards

Peering through the looking glass offers surprise and intrigue. When we look at things differently, we often see what was right in front of us in a new and exciting way. Reframing our vision and taking a fresh look brings new awareness and appreciation of the wonderland that nature provides us.

This collection of images was captured with a digital camera. Negatives from these digital images were created and contact printed onto fibre-based silver gelatin paper then processed in a traditional analogue darkroom. The resulting images have more of a three-dimensional feel on a two-dimensional surface.

Danielle Edwards is a photographer who works with both infrared and visible light to capture her images.
