Exhibition: Primary – Leanne McPhee
‘Primary, by photographer Leanne McPhee, examines the powerful connection between place and identity, exploring how early environments shape our sense of self and orientation in the world.
The exhibition features a series of photographs taken at Merbein Primary School, captured after its closure in 2012.
Through a 20-year journey revisiting the school, McPhee reflects on the school’s role as a seeding ground for understanding self and social justice.
Primary invites viewers to explore how places influence our development and challenge the status quo, offering a deeper understanding of the evolving relationship between people and their formative spaces.’ MAC website.
