End of the line for Toyo large format cameras

Sakai Machine & Tools Inc. in Japan are the manufactures of Toyo-View and Toyo-Field large format cameras. They have announced they will close the business at the end of January 2025.

They made an impressive range of robust & reliable view cameras. Including 8×10 and 4×5 monorail and folding field cameras. The cameras were engineered extremely well and built to last.

The cameras were made by Sakai Special Camera Mfg Co Ltd until 2022 when operations were taken over by Sakai Machine & Tools Inc. who have recently announced they will cease operations 31 January 2025.
