Folio: Anjella Roessler
Anjella Roessler is a Geelong photographic artist. She has an MA in photography and is currently working on her PhD. Her photographic practice explores the intersection of trauma and narrative. Her work is experimental and she thrives on learning new techniques and pushing the boundaries of the medium to its limit. Predominantly large format – both 4×5 and 8×10, her work methods also encompass techniques such as lumens, small and medium format film, digital, x-ray films, paper negatives, pinhole photography and instant film.

Anjella’s work has been shown at Gallery 19, Massachusetts, at the Astrolight Festival at Scienceworks Museum, in Noir Gallery, Coburg, and the Papermill Gallery, Geelong. She has been a feature artist at the Under the Blue Moon Festival in NSW and her images have been featured in publications such as Fiend, Lucky, The Hand, and Intrepid Magazines.
