This week The Sydney Morning Herald reported the Australian Centre…
Exhibition: Silver in Sunshine by Stuart Murdoch
‘This work is the first part of a poem to a place I have called home since the year 2000.
Since 2006 I’ve been exploring and capturing this vibrant and changing neighbourhood on film. It’s my way to immortalise areas of my suburb which are overlooked because they are considered ignoble.
Having been trained in analogue processes, I have hand printed these traditional silver gelatin prints in the summer 2018. This is the first of several exhibitions I hope to show over the coming years.’
Sunshine Art Spaces, Sunshine, Victoria 26 April – 30 May 2019
Opening celebration Saturday 27 of April from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
More of Stuart’s work can be seen on his website.
