Exhibition: Diverse Perspectives – Fine Monochrome Print Group
‘Diverse Perspectives is a contemporary fine monochrome photography exhibition bringing together twelve photographers from the Fine Monochrome Print Group. Each artist presents a distinctive body of work shaped by individual interests, experiences and visual language, celebrating the richness and diversity of contemporary photographic practice. Rather than following a single theme, the exhibition celebrates the wealth of contemporary monochrome photography through twelve distinct perspectives.
From intimate personal narratives and the natural landscape to architecture, abstraction and the human form, the works explore memory, identity, place, ritual, labour and the everyday. Together they reveal how photography shapes the way we see, inviting viewers to discover connections between artist, subject and audience.
The exhibition also highlights the remarkable breadth of monochrome printmaking. Traditional silver gelatin prints, hand-coated palladium prints and contemporary archival pigment prints sit side by side, demonstrating that the chosen photographic process is not simply a method of production, but an integral part of each artist’s creative expression.’ Maud Gallery website
