Workshop: Hand colouring photographs – Ruth Maddison

‘In this workshop join one of Australia’s foremost photographers Ruth Maddison to explore the technique of hand-colouring black and white photographs.

Ruth will show examples, discuss creating photographs that are suited for hand colouring, advise which supplies work best, and demonstrate colouring techniques. All participants will be working on their own images using a variety of media of their choice.

Participants will leave with finished pieces of their own creation, along with the knowledge and skills necessary to continue this process with confidence.

Colouring materials will be supplied including coloured pencils, watercolour paints, inks, pastels, crayons and markers.’ SECCA website
