Shea Kirk wins the 2023 National Portrait Prize
Melbourne based large format photographer Shea Kirk has won the National Portrait Gallery’s Portrait Prize for 2023.
Shea’s portrait of friend and colleague Emma Armstrong-Porter (know as Ruby) is from his series Vantages an ongoing series of stereoscopic portraits made using two 4×5 cameras.
Shea wins $30,000 in cash and $20,000 of equipment.
