Melbourne’s Work In Process Lab to close
Melbourne’s Work In Process (WIP Lab) has just announced that it’s closing at the end of July this year.
WIP Lab has been around for five years, first in Northcote then moving to Fitzroy. It offered black & white and C41 processing for roll film and 4×5 sheet film, scanning and printing. It also had darkrooms for hire.
View Camera Australia‘s article about Work In Process was published in February 2019.
The announcement that it was closing was made on its social media accounts.

Another one disappears. Does anyone have any clues as to why? Is it the economics of film in Australia?
Gary, no reasons have been given so far. It’s certainly not due to lack of demand, that lab is always very busy.
