Exhibition: The Tower – Kate J Baker and Phoebe Rose Lines

When a journey inspires images, and images inspire words, together they distil the essence of faerie tale and myth.

Kate Baker will be exhibiting The Tower as part of the 2025 Ballarat International Foto Biennale. This increasingly renowned Biennale will feature a large and broad range of photography exhibitions embedded throughout the city and surrounds and runs from August 23 to October 19. 

Breathing Stories | The Tower is the result of a collaboration between Kate Baker and Phoebe Rose Lines. In 2019 Kate spent 3 months in Ireland and Europe following the trail of myth and faerietale, seeking those places and stories so deeply embedded within those cultures; wondering if it would be something she could ‘feel’ through the land. This is the outcome of that quest, and it has taken until now to bring this to the broader public. The exhibition will include both photographs and an accompanying archetypal story.
